Crossroads (2008)

Sometime’s in life we come to a point of confusion, we wonder if the path we are taking is really the one we were meant to take. Sometime’s people might define it as a midlife crisis of some sort but it is what it is! Peter is a young Jesuit seminarian who almost finished with his training. Suddenly he feels as if he might not be doing the right thing by becoming a priest.
Father Tew sends Peter out to a mission on the Louisiana Gulf Coast where he meets and becomes attracted to the lovely Jill. Well Peter’s feelings are shared with Jill who it turns out likes him as well. Will peter be able to keep it in his pant’s and forget that there is sin bubbling in front of him? Or will he just succumb to it and throw everything he has worked for right out the window?
The weird thing about Peter is his feet are constantly growing and he has to keep changing shoes sizes daily. Why is this? The doctor is even perturbed by the situation but tells him they are just going to grow until they reach their destined size. Sometimes Peter goes bare foot, mostly when he feet grew slightly over night making his shoes just a tad to tight in the morning!
I enjoyed Crossroads more than I thought I would. I was afraid it was going to be another tear jerker to cause me to snivel during each scene, not so. It was actually pretty comical at times. I really enjoyed Father McIlhenny, he made me giggle and think of my grand pop Sonny who just passed away from lung cancer. They both had the same smart ass attitude and cursed like a truck driver!
